Even though traveling during this time of year involved some rainy weather, the French capital was also awash with festive light—from café canopies to trees that lined the Champs Élysées.

Jardin des Tuileries — Perfect for a long leisurely stroll.
Canal Saint-Martin — An artsy neighborhood to stroll, shop, and take in the views of the water.
Saint-Germain-des-Prés – Get lost in one of the elegant neighborhood quarters of the 6th arrondissement.
Pont de l'Archevêché — Aka “Lover’s Bridge” where you will find all the locks.
